Botanical Styling: Big Leaf Boutique | Venue: Carriageworks | Furniture:-#livingedge | Event: #sydneycontemporary
We were invited to the Sydney Contemporary art exhibition to show case our botanical art work.
Great to meet some amazing artists from all around the world.
We showcased a few pieces around this amazing venue @carriageworks. Carriageworks is a multi-arts urban cultural precinct located at the former Eveleigh Railway Workshops in Redfern, Sydney.
Our main huge free standing botanical installation was created in the exhibition hall using Cariota Giga’s leaves that were 3m tall, these leaves are definitely a wow factor ‘so beautiful’, as well as incorporating extra large sliver Bismarkia palm leaves and lots of other lush green foliage for filler to produce this tropical effect.
All our produce was grown, cut and driven by us to Sydney, we have a Tropical flower and foliage farm in the Byron Bay hinterlands.
We also created a hanging Tropical installation in the Elston room which was also a wow factor, using rare assorted palm leaves, from our rare palm collection on our farm, this looked pretty impressive hanging over the beautiful #livingedge furniture.
For the free standing Tropical installation at the entrance foyer we wanted to create a three tia effect using huge palm leaves for height, heliconia leaves in the middle and philodendron leaves for the base for that lush tropical look.
Thanks to all the bigleafboutique team involved in this Event.
