Big Leaf Boutique specialise in using exotic flowers & lush, rare oversized foliage to create stunning tropical installations for weddings & corporate events.

Growing all of their own materials on their farm in the Byron Bay Hinterland, the Big Leaf team also supply local wedding and event florists and flower markets around Australia.

With a history in floristry spanning more than 20 years globally, Creative Director Jonny Taylor, together with his wife Jo, bring their love of giant tropical leaves and flowers to weddings and events throughout Byron Bay, Tweed Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

Jonny began his career in London before moving to Sydney where he set up his own floristry business creating large scale floral designs for weddings, corporate events, film sets (ie ‘Mission Impossible’) and window displays (ie ‘Sydney Mardi gras’).

After meeting Jo, they decided to make a tree change to the Byron Hinterland, buying a farm to start growing their own flowers and foliage. Now established for over ten years, the Big Leaf Farm features an abundance of rare palms, oversized tropical leaves (such as licuala peltata var sumowongii), exotic blooms and other interesting and unusual types of flowers and foliage.

Jonny and his team pride themselves on utilising this home-grown produce in the execution of their draw dropping installations at weddings, corporate events, window installations and film sets across Australia.
